You know, when someone pitches up with a ring and gloves and sets up in a business area so that office workers can 'box' each other at lunchtimes. There was a ring from time-to-time in the City last year, but does anyone know of anything at the moment? I want to have a crack at this.

Does this really happen? How hilarious. What does your wife think about the idea?

N., Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh I don't think she wants to do it herself. Just me.

Dr. C, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

to be honest, I quite fancy having a go too.

chris, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dr C. and Chris - FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

N., Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nick you could be a more high brow Frank Warren.

Ronan, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Wouldn't employers get a bit miffed if their workers came back from lunch all roughed up and bloodied?

Jonnie, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

sod them, they can have some too.

chris, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Who will be my highbrow Don King. I fancy a sideshow scrap.

N., Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Disco Dave would be ideal for that.

chris, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Surely you're not suggesting Don King is, y'know, Disco?

N., Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

no, but he is rather camp isn't he?

chris, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

This is veering dangerously towards "Fight Club" territory.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Shhhhhhhhh.

Jonnie, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I imagine a fight between Chris and N. would be the funniest thing so far this year. We must get it organised.

Ally C, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

no way, I can imagine him scratching and biting, lots of low blows.

chris, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Looking at the weight/height thread N vs Chris doesn't look like a good idea. What did they call it in wrestling in the 70's (not the WWF sort - old skool brit wrestling, I mean)? A catchweight contest?

Dr. C, Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've always thought that at my height/weight ration, I should be a champion flyweight. The little fellas would barely be able to reach my head.

N., Wednesday, 16 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ratio, not ration. I don't ration myself. That's not it.
