i had forgotten about mazes and monsters. wasn't that the "d&d will kill your kids" tv movie?

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Saturday, 4 February 2006 03:54 (nineteen years ago)

Yes. I think it would be kind of weird to watch that one nowadays...didn't the movie climax atop the WTC?

Also, how the opening page of the tribute site puts "admirers" before "fans" = classic. It is in these subtle ways that Chris Makepeace will come to exert rule over all. :)

x-post -- It did indeed. There was a whole thing about 'The Two Towers.' And of course Tom Hanks starred.

I remember Chris Makepeace playing Noel Coward in the Halloween party scene.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 4 February 2006 04:22 (nineteen years ago)

So wait, was his archenemy at the time Christopher Atkins?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 4 February 2006 04:23 (nineteen years ago)

Few indeed are those who have never heard of Meatballs (the movie);

Masked Gazza, Saturday, 4 February 2006 04:49 (nineteen years ago)

...but a lot of people don't realize that Chris Makepeace was a major player in the movie. He has been nearly overlooked by everyone for far too long. It's time to let the world know what a terrific actor he really was.

Joe (Joe), Saturday, 4 February 2006 21:18 (nineteen years ago)

his hair was so greasy in meatballs. meatballs is one of those movies that does not get better with age. all that "wudy the wabbit" stuff is seriously cringeworthy. but i loved it when i was a kid!

Lance graduated from the Hollywood Professional Academy, and though he lives at the U-Turn for Christ ranch, he still owns a beach house in Mendocino,

I thought he was more prominent in his time than he apparently was, because looking over his filmography, only Meatballs and My Bodyguard really stand out. Vamp seems like something I would have watched on cable, but I don't remember it at all. I have the vaguest memory of watching Aloha Summer. Falcon and the Snowman too, but didn't be have like only two scenes in that?

This exists (and, of course, I just ordered one):
