i'm behind with doing people tapes, so this is to say sorry (and i am doing them) to...

toby. random number
sarah. 1992 rave
mark s. montgolfier brothers
dh. bobby conn
li. julie driscoll

and behind with listening to tapes/cdrs that have arrived...

ambrose. garage mix
k-reg. 2 cdrs
li. strangelove

do you get behind with tapes and cds the you are doing people. there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to do things. sigh

oh, and where is the ile mix tape?

gareth, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Longest-undelivered promised mixtape: Mike Daddino, promised in 1998. Second-longest: Kathleen of Pearls That Are His Eyes, but I am going to do that one honest!

We used to have a tape-swapping and distribution system in Franks APA and I am sorry to say I was absolutely atrocious with it and never passed on the ones I got.

Tom, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

well, i remembered this morning that i meant to copy some strangelove b-sides for ned about 2 months ago. and do copies of the manitoba album for about 5 people. so, yes, i get way behind on doing tapes for people.

and gareth - no hurry at all on the random number tape.

toby, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i still owe sarah a tape. oy vey. i am rubbish at tapes, it's true. but i'd be happy to make one for anyone who wants one.

and -i- have the ilx mixtape. as soon as i find it (ha ha...clean yr room harvell), i'll get it along.

jess, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I owe Mike J and Rebecca tapes, but they're only outstanding as of last night and last week respectively.

RickyT, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mixtape? Mixtape? Which one is this, Tom? I cannot for the life of me remember which one.

Doesn't matter, really. I don't even have my 'proper' tape player hooked up

Michael Daddino, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

This dates from "Mixtape Madness", Mike - yes that long ago! It was begun - I still have the unfinished cassette with 'mixtape for mike' scrawled on it!

Tom, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

This reminds me: Sarah, I will be making the Buffy cd (at last!) this weekend. I have been so dead tired and busy the past couple months I haven't had time til now. Sorry.

Nicole, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hey thanks everyone! I was just going to mail you about that Nicole as I have a feeling my friend Matthew may have made me one already but I'm not sure as I am so damn awful at keeping in touch - I'll check back with him. No rush for my tapes either though am extremely intrigued by what Gareths tape could contain... and Jess TOO actually how EXCITING!

Sarah, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

where is the infamous il* mixtape?

goeff, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's under my car seat along with my drive and ambition.

Samantha, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That's a point, isn't Buffy the musical on tonight? should I make it the first full episode I ever watch, or will it be like the other day where I was asking Jonnie a different question every minute?

chris, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Buffy musical??? In the UK???? TONIGHT????? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *no sky AGONY* arrrrrrrrrrrrgh but hold on I think it's in a few weeks actually as last week was the first two of the new series, yas?

Sarah, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

From what I heard Sky edited out all the good parts anyway.

Nicole, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I thought it was the second episode, mind you Jonnie hasn't mentioned it so maybe not, I'll check with Disco Dave.

chris, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

According to the Sky doohickey, "Buffy and gang battle a demon"

well, duh. So I don't know, it might be, it might not.

chris, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I still owe the two Davids with "Field" at the end of their surname the BBC Radiophonic Workshop's greatest hits.

Robin Carmody, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And now I think of it Inglesfield still owes me the library music comp.

Robin Carmody, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sarah, I wuz going to randomly post you a video of last week's Buffy (season six), but, er, forgot. Do you want it?

Graham, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've been CDRing like mad recently, actually. Sharing musical love with all and sundry. :-) Most recent -- a 3CD set of stuff for a friend in Vietnam. She wanted Rialto and MBV.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 17 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sarah?

Graham, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Gosh! I'm here! Yes please! Can I make you a tape or something in return? I bet that's far too analogue for you though, it's all MINI DISCS as far as I've heard... ALTHOUGH *hmmmm* ponders borrowing minidisc playah... *faints* in Buffy joy

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Rialto?

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

RIGHT I think this also means I must buy the £7.99 copy of 'Isn't Anything' from Amazong then ALTHOUGH they sa it will take 1-2 weeks to deliver. I wonder if it is CHEAP in record shops coo it's been ages since I have been to a purveyor of the MUSICAL FORM.

Sarah, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

A tape would be fine, plus my MD player is a little fucked. Can you mail me your address to make sure I get it right (memory=hazy)?

Graham, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sarah, you can get "Isn't Anything" for £6.99 out of Sister Ray or Selectadisc in Berwick Street. Also in Berwick Street, both branches of Mister CD usually have a few copies in stock, again costing £7.

XStatic Peace, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Arthur, Friday, 1 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You should have eased her in with "Sweet Harmony". ;)

Dan Perry, Friday, 1 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And now I think of it Inglesfield still owes me the library music comp

And the Delia Derbyshire LP. I promise I will do it all soon.

David Inglesfield, Friday, 1 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

If anyone else cares (which I doubt), I *still* haven't done the Radiophonic tapes mentioned upthread. And to think that when I first promised them, Delia D. was still alive.

Robin Carmody, Friday, 1 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

two years pass...
o dear.
