Tedious Business Question

The course of my job (internet retail) requires me to perform a lot of name & address verifications on credit cards outside of the United States. While I do have a merchant services account for Visa & Mastercard that takes care of all of our domestic verifications, they can only provide me with the telephone number for the issuing bank for international cards.

There has to be a better way than to call the banks directly, which is a huge waste of money (int'l phone bill) and my time. My department was recently scaled back from 3 employees to 2, so what used to be simply tedious has become an insurmountable game of catch-up.

Any advice that I could pass on to my (apparently clueless) CFO?

On the Visa Europe site, there's information about an e-commerce tool called Verified by Visa, and also Address Verification System. Maybe that could help.
