Downloading from limewire

I am having a problem downloading from limewire. The screen says it is downloading, but when I preview the file, the preview screen is white-no video. Also, it a prompt has told me previously that I need to download more from quicktime, but I am not sure what to do as there are many things on quicktime. Any help would be welcome.

Let me guess--you're downloading an .avi file & trying to play it back on a Mac?

If so, to a Google search for VLC. Download it & use it to play the file & it should solve your problem.

If you're on a Windoze machine, you probably just need the DivX codec.
