Help I need an expert on the Sacramento Delta

I'm planning a solo motorbike/fishing trip this spring, just a sleeping bag and fishing pole. However, I don't know anything about the place and I wonder if you could recommend some things to see - also please look at this list of campgrounds and tell which places are cool and which are lame: http://www.californiadelta.org/camping.htm

I know the little chinese town of Locke is supposed to be cool. I got a book on the Delta from the library but it's from the 50's ("This little gal is sure easy on the eyes!" etc.) so I don't know how trustworthy it is.

Are there cool places in the delta?

I've been wanting to do what you're describing on a bicycle to find out, but never have.

Locke is supposed to be really cool... what's left of Chinese village. I think there's some other Popeye shanty-towns that are worth visiting as well. It's just so close to the Bay yet I've never checked it out. You could take your bike on BART even, to Pittsburgh Baypoint.
