the alias could not be opened, because the original cannot be found

so anyway, remember i was telling you earlier, about the nslu2 that i got. well, it connects usb drives to your ethernet lan, basically, so you can access your external hd over wireless

its very good you know

but today, when i tried to connect (really, it just mounts the same as a directly attached hd), i got this exciting and opaque message, what can it mean

"the alias could not be opened, because the original cannot be found"

i can access the drive via http, by putting its ip address in, then the folder share. so i can play mp3 directly from the drive over the wireless, but only via http, it wont actually mount

you know a bit more about computers than me, what is happening here?
