I have been thikning for the past couple months that I was somewhat lactose intolerant so I have been driking soy milko, but I just read about fructose malabsorption and I think that describes more what is occuring in my gut. SO I just preformed an experiment wherein Milk was consumed by me, 16 holy ounces. The reults so far seem to be no "hell in the tummy". Yay! Milk can again be my swirl of white joy? I hope so. it sucks. if i drink a glass of whole milk, it'll be like mustard gas spewing out of my ass. i just thought it was maybe from all the kimchee, but then when i went to live in paris i was really broke and ate nothing but camembert cheese and baguettes for a week and boy howdy did that do a number on my digestive tract. so i figured it was from the dairy

Hooray for lack of mutation that allows adults to drink from the teat of the cow!! SOymilk shall prevail for thee!

there is no lactose in cheese.

Tsk tsk. Some cheeses are more fermented than others -- aka some contain lactose in greater or lesser amounts than others. I believe the general rule is that hard/medium cheeses are more fermented than semi-/soft ones...?

The Frenches think that cheese is alive or something too, so god only knows what sort of evil is in those soft cheeses. The american way where we vacuum seal the cheese then refrigerate it is pretty good at removing evil and taste.
