...and I stress it's just an attempt (and a cheap plug), but I'm hoping there are other Northwest lurkers on this here board thingy...

Basically, I'll be co-DJing at Seattle's best bar ever, THE LAVA LOUNGE Thursday, January 24th from 9pm to 2am. If you happen to be in town or live near town and want to come to say hi, I welcome you with open arms ("I KISS YOU!!!!!!!!"). Yes, the music will be somewhat rockist, but rockist WIV WUV!

Wow! Makes me wish I lived in Seattle, or at least had enough money for the plane fare. Sounds good, Brian.

Awwww, I wouldn't expect anyone to fly over... but I'd hope every town would have at least one thing kinda like this somewhere.

makes a girl wish she was of drinking age...or at least had a passable i.d. ::sigh::

Sighing witchoo, sista. I wasn't too sure which side of the drinking age you fell on. But Olympia might be the next logical forum for another ILX meeting attempt... so fret not. Or at least, I'll pro'lly be swinging down there for some reason in the near future.

I wish I could say I was the bitter, caffeinated beat poet post punker contemplating the two protagonists. Or I wish I could say I was the dashing smiling redhead with the cop glasses. But nope.. I'm the puzzled, squinting jock bastard on the lower right.

(The smiley redhead is Jef Hoskins, who's one of my best friends and one of the folks who was responsible for getting me to move to Seattle. He's moving to California for the winter literally the day after this gig, eventually settling in Oakland. It goes without saying "JEF R0xXx0R")

Brian MacDonald, Friday, 18 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah, who is said bitter, caffeinated beat poet post punker anyway? At first, it looked like Lance "James at 15/16" Kerwin.

Sorry to miss the meet-up, as I live thousands of miles away. Good luXoR!

Felicity-uh. Who can say-uh?

Brian MacDonald, Saturday, 19 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well-uh, my computer at work has very poor resolution-uh.

felicity, Saturday, 19 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Brian-uh is a tease-uh.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 19 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Bad Brian! Good Ned!

felicity, Sunday, 20 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yay me!

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 20 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, for those that came, fun was had. Jef left this town happy. :D

I went ahead and transcribed and scanned the playlist for that night.
You can see the actual playlist scan HEEEERRRREEEEE!!! (I'm disappointed that I didn't get drunk enough to render this playlist completely illegible as it went on.. in fact, it's quite legible all the way through.. what the fuck!)

But I also transcribed it below for those of you not patient enough to load four semi-biggish jpgs, if you have a slow connection that is.
Here's the little icon definitions:

And here we go:

There. Come again soon!
