you can search myspace based on bands... just keep plugging them in! although the sucky thing about myspace search is that you can only enter one variable... it's either music or zip code for you, buddy :(

listen to local college radio shows. i was a college radio DJ, just on the INTERNET at first, and i got an email from a guy saying how much he liked my show and would i like to get together and listen to records? i said yes, and then we dated for a very long time! we lived together, even.

ultimately, it didn't work out. our relationship was based too much on shared musical interests, at the sake of real-life compatability.
