I’m always disappointed that I can’t share my music with people, so we’ve decided to put on an event PLUG AND PLAY It’s a Sunday social in London on the 27th of January @ PublicLife (82 Commercial St, EC1 - those converted public toilets beside Spitalfields). Starts from around 4pm and runs till late, so you can check it out after you’ve been to market, and it’s free to get in.
The idea is that people bring ‘stuff’ – CDs, MP3s, hardware, laptops, black boxes, avi’s – things they’ve made or music they’d like to hear loud in a club. You don’t have to able to mix, or dance even. The default music will be - Tech-Pop, D.S.P./I.D.M, Eclectronic [sic], and the cream of the mainstream. Of course we’ll be playing many ILM favourites - everything from Kylie to Kompakt. And it if all runs smoothly (enough people show) we’ll make it monthly.

All the info is on our gorgeous site which should give you the idea where we’re coming from………. or you can mail me…..

Just bumping this to the top cos I think it's a great idea. I think FatNick will attend to inflict his music on those present.

Chiz. At my little nephews christening on that date. Gar! And I've fancied going to that venue for a long time - even thought of hiring it myself. It sounds GRATE! Arg. There are so many things I'm missing now and the thought of dragging myself up to Hartlepool when I should be down in Feb anyway... OH. Hmph. *fret*

Damn..... Eno's not coming now.

Hey Nick, is it OK if I come then?

Yes, Plug_and_Play cranks it up for another event..... Sunday24thFEB, loads of new music, net.art, I will be playing my now infamous Ninos Dream/Kim Hiorthoy mix and twisted Rtn_of_the_Mac/Pinky Ring/leviticus (thanks to Jess DPS). It's open_source, anyone's welcome to bring their laptop down and have a bash.. that's the idea. Or if you're on the other side of the world goto the site, upload data and we'll play it out.
