'Family Guy' abortion episode 'will not air'

...Fox will not air the 'Partial Terms Of Endearment' episode of Family Guy, but we fully support the producers' right to make the episode...

Firstly, I've been on ILX way too long.

And secondly, Family Guy has mentioned abortion in 'every' context aside from actually featuring one (unless you count Jessica Fletcher), so what difference does it make?

The broadcaster has refused to screen the "controversial" instalment but will not halt its distribution onto other platforms such as a DVD release, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Oh so it's a scam to sell more DVDs then.

ugh...family guy used to be one of my favorite shows. sure, it ripped many things off from teh simpsons, and didn't have much of any of that show's subtle wit, but it was just damned funny.

first three seasons, it was solid. since returning, not so much. the episodes have become so plotless that its just a string of jokes/pop culture references from beginning to end. which in a way is what it always was to a degree, but it was so much tighter. the jokes now run for too long, and some are in poor taste...sad when you consider how little i get offended at. the james bond 'rape' joke in one episode made me turn it off.
