How handy for him to be out of town.

This could potentially be his biggest fuckup ever.

Simon H. (Simon H.), Thursday, 2 March 2006 02:32 (nineteen years ago)

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Thursday, 2 March 2006 02:34 (nineteen years ago)

also get ready for another investigation of "who leaked the classified briefing".

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Thursday, 2 March 2006 02:36 (nineteen years ago)

Whoever leaked this is my hero.

Simon H. (Simon H.), Thursday, 2 March 2006 02:55 (nineteen years ago)

Wow.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Thursday, 2 March 2006 02:57 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, it's all part of Bush's extended subtle "art performance"

What a bag of molten shit with some bloood of devil mixed in he is. I mean, I don;'t like the guy. I think he may be the antichrist. I'd rather have a dog be president

Mr Jones (Mr Jones), Thursday, 2 March 2006 08:28 (nineteen years ago)

I mean, this is definitely big, but is there really anything really surprising here? The fact that Bush is a little dim, overconfident, and incompent hardly comes as news. I gave up after the last election. Regardless of how much he screws up, nothing is ever enough to bring him down, or at least teach him and his boys (and that includes Condoleeza) a little humility. This administration may be one of the worst in recent memory, for a myriad of reasons which don't need to be discussed here, but the Democrats are the most pathetic and innefectual opposition party EVER. The Republicans would have already destroyed a Democratic President if they messed up even half as bad as Bush has over the past 5 1/2 years. In spite of this most recent revelation, if another election were held tomorrow, he'd still win.

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Thursday, 2 March 2006 08:43 (nineteen years ago)

I wonder if there are any gounds for impeachment?

The democrats belong in canada or something. We need a new opposition party with TEETH

Mr Jones (Mr Jones), Thursday, 2 March 2006 08:44 (nineteen years ago)

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REFUSED TO ACTIVATE HEART AFTER GI ACTIVATED WATER, RUINING THE CHAIN AND THUS PREVENTING CAPTAIN PLANET FROM BEING SUMMONED IN TIME FOR HURRICANE KATRINA...DEMS CHARGE ADMINISTRATION WITH MISMANAGEMENT OF ECO-RINGS...REPUBLICANS CITE ORDER OF SUMMONING POWERS AS CHIEF PROBLEM (developing...)

"The democrats belong in canada or something. We need a new opposition party with TEETH"

Oi! Easy there. Our loyal opposition just recently brought down the goverment on a non-confidence motion, then out-campaigned the ruling party and won the subsequent election. I'm no fan of the new Prime Minister or his followers, but they've certainly got teeth.

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Thursday, 2 March 2006 09:04 (nineteen years ago)

I like me Cunga's take.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 2 March 2006 13:42 (nineteen years ago)

It's kind of hard for an opposition party to do much when they do not chair a single committee in either the House or the Senate.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:37 (nineteen years ago)

There are complaints re: this footage. But the post does provide links to August 28 and 29 transcripts.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:39 (nineteen years ago)

And when the leadership they select happens to be a bunch of folks who are by turns depressingly mealy-mouthed and divisely shrill, both at the wrong times.

Everytime the administration does something completely fucked in the head and objectivably provable as the stupidest thing an administration could possibly do, it just makes the Dems look worse and worse, because they can't best these numbskulls.

TOMBOT, Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:45 (nineteen years ago)

It's kind of hard for an opposition party to do much when they do not chair a single committee in either the House or the Senate.

It can still make some noise, draw issues to the public's attention (or keep them in that spotlight). That's not worthless. It could embarrass the Republicans into policing their own just a little bit more.

Rockist_Scientist (RSLaRue), Thursday, 2 March 2006 16:46 (nineteen years ago)

He didn't ask a single question in that teleconference, so Justice Thomas IS his political idol!
