I like this game where you try to tag the thread before it's deleted.

You're obviously in the minority then.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Sunday, 5 March 2006 19:19 (nineteen years ago)

Since the majority of me
Rejects the majority of you,
Debating ends forthwith, and we
Divide. And sure of what to do

We disinfect new blocks of days
For our majorities to rent
With unshared friends and unwalked ways,
But silence too is eloquent:

A silence of minorities
That, unopposed at last, return
Each night with cancelled promises
They want renewed. They never learn.

Raw, Uncompromising, and Noodly (noodle vague), Sunday, 5 March 2006 19:20 (nineteen years ago)

the majority of you never her

In contradistinction to the common too-much-information syndrome, banned gives us nothing to grasp. He is too vague.

One wonders what is it about the majority of us that he find depressing. Their inane chattering about every trivial matter that passes under their noses? Their shallow fixations? Their insistance on the creation of shared conventions and their immediate eagerness to conform to them?

If these are indeed the substance of the complaint, then I have some small sympathy for banned, but must in turn wonder if banned depresses himself as much or more than the ilxors he blames, since these faults are rather universally distributed.

protip: if you keep buying things, you can keep your depression at bay until you run out of money. just make sure you buy the gun before that

Nathalie (stevie nixed), Monday, 6 March 2006 11:34 (nineteen years ago)

Oh I give everything I've ever had to give
I bought the books, the records all the politics
It was all those words that shaped my dreams
There were times when I felt like a human being

Alas, it is now Chico Time.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 6 March 2006 13:16 (nineteen years ago)

my depression stems from a lack of giving effort
my lack of effort stems from a lack of desire
an insecure buddhist living in the age of blind greed
