When I was fired for the nth time

I just got a phone call from the recruitment agency that set me up with the job (I work in a contact lens factory) this morning telling me that my contract was terminated. I wasnt too surprised, since I've left school I've been working in more factories than I care to recollect and always end up getting fired after a few months. I have no idea where my future is heading but factories certainly dont feature in it . But I dont know what else to do, I have zero qualifications. I went to college after school to study journalism but dropped out after a year and lived in Edinburgh. I'd like to head abroad but I dunno if I have the balls for it. I probably have a job waiting for me in a *meat packing* factory but that certainly doesnt sound appealing. Doing night courses is something I've always liked the idea of but I've always put it on the long finger. Basically I'm a lazy bastard. FUCK.

Television. If you live somewhere where there is a TV industry, it's worth considering, as you don't need any qualifications, just a small amount of intelligence & enthusiasm. It's shit pay and shit jobs to start with, but it's got to be better than packing meat.

There's an ad in today's Metro for admin assistants at MI5. I'm seriously tempted. Quite good cash for clerical work, too.

Ignoring the bit where they say 'discretion is a serious part of working for the Security Service, so pelase avoid telling too many people about yer application' bit, I guess? :)

michael if it's any consolation, you would = me if you replaced factory with "soul crushing retail managment drudgery." we're on a road to nowhere together at least.
