totally classic.

hstencil (hstencil), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 23:18 (twenty years ago)

Some dogs seem a bit too small for ridin' up in the cabs, tho.

gbx (skowly), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 23:37 (twenty years ago)

would it have been better or worse to have Barney respond "LOLOLOLOL"?

kingfish da notorious teletabby (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 23:40 (twenty years ago)

That Barney page is the best thing that I've seen out of this administration in five years.

kingfish da notorious teletabby (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 23:48 (twenty years ago)

also classic .. coming back to the car after running into the store (for a 40 and some shells or something) and the dog is waiting in the driver's seat every time.

Dave will do (dave225.3), Thursday, 9 March 2006 13:02 (twenty years ago)

Classic when he sticks his head out the window and his ears flap and he smiles. Dud when he slides off the seat because of your driving.

driving with dog in summertime: CLASSIC

leaving your dog in your parked car in summertime: DUD

I hate when people do that.

elmo, patron saint of nausea (allocryptic), Thursday, 9 March 2006 15:00 (twenty years ago)

People around here wouldn't have to do that kind of thing so much if places around here were cool about letting dogs wander in and out. I mean, I know you can't have dogs in food shops, but why can't they come into the hardware shop with me?

My dogs are great travellers, but I don't put their seat belts on, and I really should because I worry that one of us is going to get badly hurt one of these days.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Thursday, 9 March 2006 16:05 (twenty years ago)

She seemed so eager to learn!

The guys who owned the car & said, "hey! get out from behind the wheel! you know you're too young to drive!"

also, we were bhind this schmuck for a while in Montana:

Nothing like using your dog as ballast for your truck bed, with the gate open & everything. He looks like he might be wearing a harness here, but I can't remember if he was or not.

i remember about six years ago, when mr chang, my cat, first developed glaucoma, i had to drive to a vets in maida vale, for an appointment with the feline opthamologist (i shit thee not). the trip involved over an hour's drive through manic pre-xmas traffic from wimbledon to maida vale, which left chang pretty freaked out, sitting in his cage. for the drive home, which took over 90 minutes, i let him roam free in the car, which calmed him down greatly. at different points in the trip, he pretended he was a nodding dog sitting on the parcel shelf, sprawled out asleep across the heating vent between the windscreen and the dashboard and, for one scary moment, curled up down by the pedals.

My Sammy Cat liked to sit on my shoulder whilst I drove around.

It's coz she thought she was a parrot.
