Last night they had a fascinating feature about how gung ho Iran is for Stem cell research and theraputic cloning, with some mullahs arguing that even reproductive cloning should not be declared Haram. Also mixed into the report was how popular IVF, egg donation, surrogacy and embryo donation are, but also how under the law of iran babies born through such techniques have few rights, especially when it comes to inheritance and finding their real biological parents.
There has, of course been a lot of coverage of the nuclear issue as well and it's been interesting to hear some of the interviews with senior iranian politicians, scientists, diplomats and clerics.
Fascinating.

iran is gung-ho for a viable economy independent from america, which is probably not the least reason why iran scares the US so bad.
