And I don't mean one night stands or anything. Just bookish smart looking girls that are not snobish.

I will be in Thw Windy City for Spring Break (all of next week). Is there anything cool that is happening that people will be hanging around at?

thankz

I'm just going to point out here that Regina is a fuck of a lot windier than Chicago.

Seriously.

The Bourgeois Pig - a coffeehouse on Fullerton near the six-way intersection of Fullteron, Lincoln, and Halsted.

Chicago girls love to model, I hear. Why don't you try that?

Dude, I can't meet girls, and I live here.

I don't know shit about Chicago, but this reminded me of one time when I was working in Queens and I thought this guy was hitting on me (until it became abundantly clear that he was nuts). He asked if we had any prayer books in the library, then asked, "Is this a good place to meet people?" and then asked if I agreed that "relationships take work, but they also require luck." Then he left and someone who was sitting at his table showed me the letter he had written to Saint Francis of Assissi requesting help in finding his soulmate. Actual excerpt from said letter: "She has to be a blue-eyed blondy with a boohooing coughs when she coughs she puffs her cheeks out too far and makes a boohoo sound. This coughing will not make me nervous."
I don't think he met anybody, so I wouldn't take that approach if I were you.

St. Francis was never good on follow-through.

Thank you Easy for taking my inquiry seriously. I shall try your suggestions!

The Bourgeois Pig can be awfully quiet, though, when all the DePaul students are in there studying.

the only time i ever actually responded to a guy trying to pick me up was at a bookstore. i was looking at some poetry book, and he came over and thrusted some loosely-related poetry book in my hand and asked if i had read it (francis ponge, blech). but maybe that only worked because he was a menswear runway model.

phil-two (phil-two), Saturday, 11 March 2006 17:58 (nineteen years ago)

no. i should say FORMER model (i'm not attractive enough to warrant a currently-employed male model hitting on me).

killy (baby lenin pin), Saturday, 11 March 2006 18:00 (nineteen years ago)

how do you even know what menswear runway models look like? i could probably only recognize maybe 2 or 3.

phil-two (phil-two), Saturday, 11 March 2006 18:11 (nineteen years ago)

there's a bourgeois pig in chicago, too?

gear (gear), Saturday, 11 March 2006 18:13 (nineteen years ago)

after hanging out with him a few times, he told me that he had modelled in milan for a year or two. he was a very weird dude, and incredibly gorgeous, so i believed him.
