They don't breathe per se seeing as they don't have lungs. This is assuming that your definition of breathing involves the inflation of lungs, that is. What actually happens is that they have openings into their bodies that become networks of tubes. This allows oxygen to diffuse directly into their blood and tissues.
This btw is why the idea of giant insects is bollocks - the fact that oxygen has to diffuse into their tissues puts a physics-based-limit on their size - or more technically, their volume. (the 3 foot wingspan dragonlies of prehistory lived in a denser atmosphere).
Spiders and other arachnids do have a form of lung but it doesn't work in quite the same way as the vertebrate lung, which also puts a limit on their size (so no giant Eight Legged Freaks, I'm afraid)

But they could evolve protuberances that mimic the appearance of breasts, as a sort of a joke on predators, assuming predators were put off by the sight of tiny breasts.

so where i live gets some of the worst air quality in the world due to temperature inversions in the wintertime plus mostly car pollution. it's also a high growth rate place so it gets worse every year in spite of electric cars or whatever. because "greener" population growth definitely doesn't affect natural resource quality and availability. anyway. i made the mistake of looking at a comment thread on facebook. i was legitimately shocked by how many people actually believe in coo coo braindead stuff like chemtrails and cloud seeding!. like every fifth comment was someone like that. fifteen or so people total out of 60-70! almost as breathtaking as the poisoned air.
