A new report on a website has stated that actor Will Ferrell was seriousley injured in a paragliding accident on Monday. The release, posted on iNewsWire.com stated that the ANCHORMAN actor was involved in a fatal paragliding accident near San Diego. The report is untrue as publicists for the comedian immediately stated that Ferrell hasn't actually been paragliding in his life.

Shame this isn't true:

Los Angeles -- Actor Will Ferrell accidentally died in a freak para-gliding accident yesterday in Torey Pines, Southern California. The accident apparently happened somewhere near the famed paragliding site after a freak wind gush basically blew Ferrell and his companion towards a wooded area where they lost control before crashing into the dense foilage.
Ferrell and his professional guide, Horacio Gomez of Airtek Paragliding Center attempted the jump at around 2 in the afternoon. According to witnesses, the conditions were basically ideal for para-gliding and the weather did'nt pose a problem at all.
The jump started normally as Ferrell and Gomez glided carefully across the vast area and were seemed headed into the righ direction just before what witnesses said a freak wind somehow blew them off course, causing the paragliding professional Gomez to somehow lose control.
As horrified witnesses looked on, the duo headed straight for the dense woods near the jump off point and crashed at an estimated 60 mph hitting the trees as they hurtled to the ground.
Some friends of the actor who witnessed the accident immediately called up 911. The paramedics vainly attempted to revive the two on their way to the nearby UCSD Thornton Hospital in nearby La Jolla.
The duo suffered major injuries to the head and broken bones that caused the death of the two.
In an interview with Will's parents who was John W. Ferrell in real life, Mary and Hubert Ferrell said their sonn died while doing one of the things he loved the most.
Will was a graduate of the University of California where he finished his Sports Information Degree. Will was born on July 16, 1968. He was 36.

He has four films in production at the moment, so they can spin them out, Tupac-style. Or possibly even like that dude in The Crow.

The funeral services for slain Will Ferrell will take place at 10 A.M. Friday, March 17, 2006, at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills. The cemetery is located at 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, adjacent to the 134 Freeway in Los Angeles. The public is welcome. Attendees are encouraged to begin arriving at 8:30 A.M. due to the large crowd expected, and should enter the area from the east using the Forest Lawn exit off the 134 Freeway. Internment is private.

The public is also invited to attend a Community Candlelight vigil honoring the comedian. This will be held in front of the Groundlings Theatre, located at 7307 Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood.

Guys, local news (here in malibu) reported that the 5'8" farrell was over 400 lbs. at the time of his death. he'd apparently suffered from episodes of dementia for some time as well. to hear his family and friends talk it almost sounded like they thought of his passing as a blessing as he had declined both physically and mentally over the past few years.

Will Ferrell had a cocktail of drugs in his system when he died, a report has revealed.

Toxicologists investigating the death of the Anchorman actor have said his body contained marijuana, morphine, Valium and codeine.

It has already been revealed the official cause of death was a failed para-gliding endeavor.

Earlier today, coroner's spokesperson Craig Harvey told the Los Angeles Times Ferrell - the former SNL star who had gone on to great success in film - died of "tree impalation".

Experts noted that the glider's structure was weak and "could have given out at any time".
