San Francisco Bay Area: Rain, rain, and more fucking rain. Hillsides are soggy, pigeons are soaked and cold, and no end in sight.

Little Rock Area: Heat and Humidity. Suck. (actually today is nice)

sunny successor (katharine), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 16:05 (twenty years ago)

Overcast, gray, nasty cold soaking rain and I had to walk home in it yesterday. Completely sucks. This is the 3 weeks of the year when it's usually not too hot/not too cold/just right in this godforsaken wasteland.

Jaq (Jaq), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 16:07 (twenty years ago)

ha ha its beautiful out today

San Francisco Bay Area: Rain, rain, and more fucking rain.

this is kind of a shame for Tom and Ally as they may have to spend much of their honeymoon indoors. unless...

Little Rock, you're lucky you're not in Oz after the weekend.

rrrobyn (rrrobyn), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 16:19 (twenty years ago)

Watch out, Tuesday, 4 April 2006 16:41 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, but what they're not telling you is that the above picture was taken outside of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. So see? Not so much of a big deal.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 17:36 (twenty years ago)

Are there a lot of polar bears in Fergus Falls? If not, kind of a big deal.

San Francisco Bay Area: Rain, rain, and more fucking rain.

One of my co-workers keeps saying he's going to go to San Francisco on holiday, so for the past few weeks he's had the SF weather forecast on his Google homepage. *Every* day since he's had it up, it's said either "Electrical storms" or "Thunderstorms". I'm not sure what the difference is.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 17:56 (twenty years ago)

'Electrical storms' sounds like epilepsy.

andy --, Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:03 (twenty years ago)

New York done got shizzity.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:13 (twenty years ago)

SF Umbrellas are much cheaper than London umbrellas.

TOMBOT (TOMBOT), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:28 (twenty years ago)

This morning as I entered the train tunnel, I gave my umbrella a jaunty twirl to shed the water, and the rod just snapped. Piece of shit. I threw it in the trash with the others, now I have to go buy another from Cheapkistani industries which will last a week or two. They got us by the nuts.

andy --, Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:32 (twenty years ago)

it's not like polar bears cant swim.

AaronK (AaronK), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:32 (twenty years ago)

They have a time closing their umbrellas, though.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:34 (twenty years ago)

the last time i had to buy an umbrella because it started raining, I paid $17 for it (at walgreens). HOWEVER, it hasn't broken yet.

kyle (akmonday), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:37 (twenty years ago)

hey i can swiim no worries then.

Baron Jay, Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:38 (twenty years ago)

Highway 1 by Pacifica is fucked, to be closed indefinitely due to slides and sinkholes.

andy --, Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:43 (twenty years ago)

SF Umbrellas are much cheaper than London umbrellas.

The umbrella I bought at the post office in Hampshire only cost me ₤4.00 and I don't know why kyle's Walgreens' umbrella cost so much when i buy $10.00 umbrellas there all the time and subsequently leave them all around town.

M. White (Miguelito), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 18:54 (twenty years ago)

SF Umbrellas are much cheaper than London umbrellas.

We're closer to China. A guy just tried to sell me an umbrella on the street, but it looked SUPER janky so I passed.

andy --, Tuesday, 4 April 2006 21:03 (twenty years ago)

I loved Chinatown $1 special umbrellas in NYC. Good for one storm so no worries about losing it!

Miss Misery xox (MissMiseryTX), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 21:48 (twenty years ago)

I had one of those $1 umbrellas that lasted 2 years. Weird.

paulhw (paulhw), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 22:16 (twenty years ago)

Weird, it's been sunny and warm on my side of SF for the past couple hours... you should be cursing the microclimates.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 22:33 (twenty years ago)

CURSE YOU MICROCLIMATES!

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 22:38 (twenty years ago)

Now that's more like it! Hopefully Oakland Coliseum will be dry tonight...

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 22:46 (twenty years ago)

It's always sunny... in the Castro.

andy --, Tuesday, 4 April 2006 23:13 (twenty years ago)

electric sound of jim (and why not) (electricsound), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 04:58 (twenty years ago)

London yesterday, about 7pm: brilliant sunshine interrupted by two-block area where hailstorm featuring pea-sized hail took place. By the time the bus had hit Oxford Street the sun was back out or bus had driven through storm.

suzy (suzy), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 05:00 (twenty years ago)

Sounds like Seattle just before I left.

Sydney has been warm and sunny since Sunday. I've been warned that Melbourne is grey, colder, and drizzly. Ah well.

Not to be all weather-guilt on y'all, but the midwest/south probably has the most owning rights to Shit Weather grumbling these days. I saw on the news last night (yes the Australian World News) about the recent army of tornadoes from Missouri to Tennessee. :(

Do-ppler ray-Nut (donut), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 09:43 (twenty years ago)

I think London is currently within inches of the perfect distance from the sun.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 09:45 (twenty years ago)

I have to go to an outdoor wedding on saturday and it'll be cold and possibly raining. Oh, fun.
