LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. singer Gene Pitney, 65, has died while on tour in Britain, his agent said on Wednesday.
Jene Levy said Pitney had died on Wednesday morning in the Welsh capital Cardiff.
There was no immediate word on the cause of death
South Wales police said they had been called to a hotel at 0850 GMT on Wednesday morning and that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Pitney was best known for his 1963 hit "Twenty Four Hours From Tulsa."
This is really sad.
