cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 18:39 (twenty years ago)

kirstie by a mile. sarah has the rankest cheap 'n nasty highlights.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 18:40 (twenty years ago)

Brunette wins by a country mile.

Lara (Lara), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 18:46 (twenty years ago)

i agree it's got to be Kirsty but i DO like Sarah. there's something refreshing in this day and age they way she just never seems to learn how to dress well even after after all these series. last night she looked like she had cut her own hair with a knife and fork and was wearing a (primark?) top that made her tits (and her belly too) look massive.

Kirsty looks great and seems like she would be good on a night out while Sarah would probably be in the corner having a heart to heart with someone who had just been chucked.

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 19:18 (twenty years ago)

who r these ppls?

Jimmy Mod: My theme is DEATH (The Famous Jimmy Mod), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 19:22 (twenty years ago)

british ppls

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 19:23 (twenty years ago)

Jed - that was probably as she was pregnant dude. Beeney has appeared on Soccer AM (while very very heavily pregnant), and hasn't been sitting next to David Cameron at press conferences, so Beeney wins.

Porkpie (porkpie), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 19:26 (twenty years ago)

haha, ok. she does always dress badly (pregnant or not) but i like her alot.

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 19:37 (twenty years ago)

Alsopp does wear Boots Of Sex, but Beeney seems like the nicer person.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 19:39 (twenty years ago)

Kirstie looks like she bakes her own bread. I like that in a woman.

Lara (Lara), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 20:40 (twenty years ago)

Kirstie does have better personal style, however I have seen Sarah Beeny admitting rather ruefully that she can never get her hair to look right. I think I would rather have Beeny give me house advice, so I'll take her side here.

sgs (sgs), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 21:28 (twenty years ago)

We are a split household on this matter, mind :)

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 5 April 2006 21:56 (twenty years ago)

Alsopp, without a doubt

nate woolls (napawo), Thursday, 6 April 2006 06:34 (twenty years ago)

Ah, great! Finally a thread for me to talk about Boris Johnson on again! Kirstie and her Tory hairbands, etc. etc. blah blah.

Ptolomey Dean and Marianne Suhr pwn them both.

Treacle in a Flaming Wheelbarrow (kate), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:12 (twenty years ago)

I like them both, but I'd rather watch Dr Tanya Byron.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:17 (twenty years ago)

Ptolomy Dean is great.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:18 (twenty years ago)

Ptolomey Dean has a weekly column in Country Life which automatically makes him best. (Location Location Location twats have to buy their way into Country Life, ha ha.)

Treacle in a Flaming Wheelbarrow (kate), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:20 (twenty years ago)

Equal Face Time:

http://www.spab.org.uk/Restoration/images/Ptolemy350.jpg

Ptolemy!

http://www.spab.org.uk/Restoration/images/Marianne-350.jpg

Marianne!

Marianne definitely makes the best sex faces while smashing down 20th century bits of plaster work, going "Ooh, Ptolemy look what's under this!" while Ptolemy wanders around talking bollocks about 18th Century stair construction. They are the Mulder and Sculley of the architectural world.

Treacle in a Flaming Wheelbarrow (kate), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:25 (twenty years ago)

Of course, superseding both of those noble ladies:

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:31 (twenty years ago)

That is a *dreadful* outfit.

I like Kirstie's clothes, but I generally prefer Sarah - she seems like someone you'd get on with down the pub. I also like how every single week, she advises people against something, but they do it anyway, and she sighs and shakes her head, then it works and they make shit loads of money and she goes "well it was still unnecessary and I told them so" because she can't admit she got it wrong. Every single week. Bless her and her conviction.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:37 (twenty years ago)

It's a wonder she doesn't go on The Apprentice. She would be a better advertisement for in-store massaging than the hapless Samuel "Can-You-Please-Let-Me-Finish-I-Put-Forward-An-Idea" Judah.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:38 (twenty years ago)

allsop is a nazi.

Real Goths Don't Wear Black (Enrique), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:43 (twenty years ago)

Mmmmm... ;-)

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:45 (twenty years ago)

That is a *dreadful* outfit.

In one sense...

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:47 (twenty years ago)

Walk on, walk on...

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 08:50 (twenty years ago)

Who is that? She looks like she's trying a bit too hard.

Anyway the Beeny babe for me, I'm a sucker for a husky voice and as someone once said some girls are bigger than others.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:06 (twenty years ago)

WHO IS THAT????!!!! Only GMTV's Penny Smith, whose voice Paul Morley recently described as a cross between Hilda Ogden and Captain Beefheart!

(now calm down MC, bucket of water time, you're spoken for now and must resist indulging in silly celebrity crushes...)

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:09 (twenty years ago)

That = Penny Smith, GMTV news totty (xpost)

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:10 (twenty years ago)

I agree. Clearly trying WAAAAY too hard, but clearly it works on a certain mentality, so who am I to complain?

Anyway, Marianna Suhr is an ENGINEER and therefore knows about Maths and Physics and all, so she is the babest of all.

Treacle in a Flaming Wheelbarrow (kate), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:12 (twenty years ago)

She looks like Francis Rossi circa 1974.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:14 (twenty years ago)

ihttp://www.davebudd.org.uk/VCSC/vicki3.jpg

Victoria Coren wins! (With Marianne Suhr off of Restoration right behind her).

Dear god, Kirsty Allsop is completely repellent.

David Orton (scarlet), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:14 (twenty years ago)

xxpost

Aah yes so it is, she looked more rowr on Strictly Come Duetting or whatever it was called. Her version of The last time is my #1 tv highlight of the year so far.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:15 (twenty years ago)

Come the revolution, Victoria Coren will be second up against the wall, after her brother.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:15 (twenty years ago)

Marianne Suhr climbs about on ROOFS:

http://www.maintainyourbuilding.org.uk/images/marianne_suhr-11-410pixels.png

and mucks about in semi-derlict or condemmed buildings in BIG CONSTRUCTION BOOTS:

http://www.estatesreview.com/images/octnov04/Marianne%20Suhr1.jpg

and therefore UTTER PWNS all of those bony ponies tottering stupidly about on high heels up there.

Treacle in a Flaming Wheelbarrow (kate), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:22 (twenty years ago)

Construction boots are not sexy.

QED.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:27 (twenty years ago)

Victoria Coren will be second up against the wall

Wahay! Lucky lady! I've entertained thoughts of getting Vicky C against a wall myself.

Just pics of Marianne Suhr don't suffice - you need to hear her Voice as well. It's that what seals the deal.

David Orton (scarlet), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:28 (twenty years ago)

I think it is a testament to the wonder of Victoria Coren that she remains sexy despite coming from the same gene pool as her father and brother.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:30 (twenty years ago)

Bettany Hughes pwns this thread. Also she doesn't try and flog houses.

A Van That's Loaded With Mushy Peas (noodle vague), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:30 (twenty years ago)

Yes, indeed. Marianna and Ptolemy together (usually getting excited about some 18th century plasterwork) is just the very definition of lugubrious!

Treacle in a Flaming Wheelbarrow (kate), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:31 (twenty years ago)

Her remains would not be sexy (xpost x 2).

Is "lugubrious" sexy?

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:32 (twenty years ago)

Bettany Hughes reminds me of Curtis Stigers when he had the double haircut.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 6 April 2006 09:37 (twenty years ago)

Ha ha, the only amusing bit about sitting through that UNBELIEVABLY BORING staff meeting was finding out that Phil and Kirstie are actually Introducers of ours!

Bernard's Summer Girlfriend (kate), Thursday, 6 April 2006 15:57 (twenty years ago)

further googling reveals allsopp to be a bit of a fattaey?

I've quite gone off her after that.

Dom OTM!

Two women whose passion is for property vs a woman whose passion is for poetry. And poker. Victoria C wins!

Stew (stew s), Monday, 8 May 2006 16:06 (nineteen years ago)

That said, whenever I glance at VC's Observer column it seems rather inane. It was her leafing suggestively through big old books on Balderdash & Piffle wot did it for me. Rowrrr.

Stew (stew s), Monday, 8 May 2006 16:08 (nineteen years ago)

she is hateful.

the Enrique who acts like some kind of good taste gestapo (Enrique), Tuesday, 9 May 2006 10:55 (nineteen years ago)

the Enrique who acts like some kind of good taste gestapo (Enrique), Tuesday, 9 May 2006 12:02 (nineteen years ago)

I don't know most of the many people mentioned on this thread. I read Kirstie A's interview yesterday, though, and I think she looks very attractive. I am glad to agree with Cozen and the rest who endorsed her to begin with.

the pinefox (the pinefox), Tuesday, 9 May 2006 12:23 (nineteen years ago)

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 25 July 2006 11:58 (nineteen years ago)

The other day, I was thinking of going to see SUPERMAN RETURNS. Then I realized that Kirstie A was going to be on TV later, and that was enough to send me home.

And it was a repeat!

the bellefox (the pinefox), Thursday, 27 July 2006 11:51 (nineteen years ago)

what does naomi cleaver do?

Roughage Crew (Enrique), Thursday, 27 July 2006 12:05 (nineteen years ago)

I have a vague memory of introducing Mr Hopkins to Kirstie once, and Tim being a bit traumatised. But I can't guarantee that's a fully accurate recollection...

There are some interesting pictures on here! Mr Crip

MrCrip (MrCrip), Tuesday, 12 September 2006 06:26 (nineteen years ago)

I don't think I have ever been introduced to Kirstie (or Sarah, or Naomi).

Either I haven't, or I really was traumatised by the expeience.

Tim (Tim), Tuesday, 12 September 2006 08:43 (nineteen years ago)

Ah well, like it said, it's a hazy memory. This would be deep in the mist of history, early/mid 90s...

Mark Morris (Mark M), Tuesday, 12 September 2006 11:23 (nineteen years ago)

In that case, no doubt I was drunk.

i often take on insane levels of hatred for the peole on Location, Location, Location (and even more Relocation Relocation, greedy cunts) but that 23 year old Glaswegian guy on last night's show really took it to a whole 'nother level.

jed_, Thursday, 28 June 2007 12:38 (eighteen years ago)

Total dickhead, and no way was he 23!

Neil S, Thursday, 28 June 2007 12:39 (eighteen years ago)

yeah he looked as old as me.

jed_, Thursday, 28 June 2007 12:42 (eighteen years ago)

The other pair were pretty irksome as well as being obscenely wealthy.

Neil S, Thursday, 28 June 2007 12:44 (eighteen years ago)

yeah, phil was well pissed off with them at the end.

jed_, Thursday, 28 June 2007 12:47 (eighteen years ago)

I know, and I don't like people who piss off my Phil.

accentmonkey, Thursday, 28 June 2007 13:02 (eighteen years ago)

(Obviously I mean that I don't like people who annoy him, not that I don't like people who use him as something to stand on when they're going for a piss.)

accentmonkey, Thursday, 28 June 2007 13:08 (eighteen years ago)

haha. i'm a big phil fan too. so cuet.

jed_, Thursday, 28 June 2007 13:21 (eighteen years ago)

i really miss kirstie and phil.

lauren, Thursday, 28 June 2007 14:18 (eighteen years ago)

Last night's show = total classic, except for the bit where they dissed lovely Elderslie for having a "Paisley postcode" accompanied by shot of lone youth in baseball cap walking past.

That young bloke who seemed to think the entire Glasgow housing market should change just to suit him was a complete tosser. I was screaming "LEAVE HIM" at his girlfriend every time she appeared on screen by the end.

(the other couple reminded of people I know who I used to love but now can't be doing with at all, with the whole "oh, we'll let our 3-yr-old daughter decide on where we chuck nearly half a million quid" bollocks, also, yeah, I totally called the "they're going to fucking HATE where Crookston is" thing as soon as they showed them the house)

I had a 15min conversation with her about porn and public masturbation last week. She is astonishingly obnoxious.

Matt DC, Thursday, 10 April 2008 10:49 (eighteen years ago)

I don't have any thoughts on Kirsty Allsopp or Sarah Beeny, sorry. I hate aspirational TV.

Matt DC, Thursday, 10 April 2008 10:51 (eighteen years ago)

once possible outcome of the nu-great depression is maybe channel 4 won't have a fucking property porn show on EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK.

would vote beeny were this polled, though.
