I was in class and no one would admit that they didn't think the boy from Joyce's "Araby" was a creep. Social pressures. Some dude would have to create a sock puppet just to talk about this.
I like the "Listen," especially without the comma. I had a habit of saying, "Look," during this one period, maybe a few months, and I was dating this girl and finally, probably after she broke up with me, she said, "No, I don't want to look." But that's not like your listen. Your listen has this forward-moving energy to it, because of the missing comma maybe - but I like its insistence, anyway.
