ILXBOXers: recommend me a game to while away post-Root Canal misery

I'm really not up to speed on my video games, but I'm getting a root canal, and will likely be very angry about it (ergo, antisocial) for the longweekend. what are some good games to help me through this period.
previously enjoyed games include: Hulk Destruction, Black, GTA, various Star Wars games.

any help would be much appreciated

I've got no game suggestions, but my one and only root canal was a breeze. I've had cleanings that were more painful and debilitating.

nine years pass...

First one in at least 10 years. Maybe the technology's getting better--no big deal at all, just a couple of twinges and over in under an hour. Hopefully not bad once the freezing wears off.
