anyone saw this experimental David Lynch meets Tarkovsky meets experimental film which juxtaposes modern russia with old russia with beautiful, bizzare images.
it's a bit of a confused movie, but the director has so much talent and self confidence (his debut) that it's just a minot disadventage.
first it's a moody, talky movie between 3 characters who lie about their jobs in a gloomy moscow bar, than it turned into a bizzare tale of crones and clones, which is directed almost as a documentry, and tends to shock.
in between, some great images, industrial soundtrack (mailnly of dogs, and machines and inovative use of camera and light.
i cant get it out of my head, though it's not a masterpiece, and sometimes kind of boring, it's one of the most interesting movies ive seen lately.

Need to see it in the next week; most of the good reviews are still confused.

Definately classic, for several reasons:
1. Intruiging opening scene in the bar
2. The industrial plains/wasteland scenes are compelling
3. The strangeness of the funeral diner
4. It made me fall asleep before it ended (which I considered a good thing at that time, so I'm still to watch the 'ending')
