Sufferers?

I am applying for a job. Is this daft/patronizing/normal, as a phrasing? Is there a better one, besides "children with ADHD", which I've used already?

Try "the ADHD Holocaust."

A serious answer - I wouldn't bat an eyelid at the phrase, and I deal with it at work every day.

"People who are uniquely capable of paying attention"

or

"hyper-enthusiastic self-starters"

I'd stick with "people/children with ADHD". But that's very boring of me.

I am quite sure that Si is correct to note that within a particular mileau this term would be passed over as unremarkable. My own writerly preference would be to reserve this terminology to contexts where the actual symptoms of ADHD are being addressed and the fact of their suffering is pertinent.

it sounds like you have been unable to verify these claims

Generally, you should put the person first, and the condition second, so as not to define the person by the condition. "People with ADHD" would be more appropriate than ADHD Sufferers.
