I know almost nothing about musical theory, which never used to bother me but currently I am VEXED by this. So...
1) What do you wish you knew more about but never quite get the time to learn?
2) Can anyone point me to a good website or something so DG can have a crash course in music theory?

Languages. I would love to have the time and patience to learn as many as possible.

I wish I could play guitar better. I started but I haven't played in months.

I also wish I knew all there is to know about dance music. For some reason I want to be a real anorak about early rave and the like. I don't think buying Altern-8s Euphoria Old Skool cd will do the trick either.

Ronan: I also wish I knew all there is to know about dance music.

Ronan, my advice is to buy the following book Energy Flash by Simon Reynolds it comes with a free CD that has Gareth-1471 approved 92 dance type music on it.

I've decided I won't leave California until I've learned how to surf. Or at least tried it a few times. I'm going snowboarding for the first time in a few weeks. Pray for me.

the cd aint that great to be honest, the best tracks are actually the non-rave ones at the beginning, and the 93darkness of boogie times tribe at the end. the book is worth it though.
