Tell me more about the swenkas

The Swenkas practise a kind of voguing accompanied by what I can best describe as 1930's-to-1940's male fashion glamour music. It is the kind of thing you may have seen at a department store fashion show in about 1937. The emphasis is clearly on the quality of the clothing, cufflinks, watch, etc: Pierre Cardin, Saville Row etc. What do you know about this? There's a movie called 'The Swenkas' about this phenomenon, which exists, as far as I know, only in Africa.
