I swallowed a piece of plastic fork and want to know if my stomach acids will dissolve it or will it pass through a bowel movement?

It'll pass.

I swallowed a bit of plastic fork about a year ago and was fine. I mentioned it here: i accidentally swallowed a small piece of tin foil

Gum doesn't stay in your system for seven years. No sir. I have empirical data from when I babysat for a diaper-wearing toddler who swallowed plenty of gum. The fork? This too shall pass.

Sherwood Anderson died of peritonitis after he swallowed a cocktail toothpick. Not funny!
