Which makes Howards make-up costs look pretty cheap. The tories also spent nearly half a million on Lynton Crosby - I wonder if that was result-related?

Interestingly (or perhaps not) it's emerged that Cherie's hairdressing costs were actually a freebie thrown in on top of Tone's makeup costs.

The most bizarre cost was "Labour spent £300 on Star Trek outfits in order to undermine an event being held by Tory former Cabinet Minister John Redwood." In a non-marginal constituency, what's the point of this? (Labour started third and stayed third, Redwood increased his majority over the LDs)

I don't understand the make-up thing. Are they wearing make-up all the time or just when they're on tv? Do they have their own make-up person and if so is that the cost (then it seems like not that much)? Wouldn't they look odd walking around in "tv make-up" just in case someone pointed a tv camera in their face?

Can anyone find a picture of either Howard or Blair or Kennedy with and without make-up so I can compare?
