Are the people who complain seriously offended or are they worried that other people could be offended?

Are they the kind of militant disgruntled middle classes who bombard newspapers, councils and ombudsman with "To Whom it May Concern" letters?

What's up with these adverts?

I admit I haven't seen them all but the ones I have did not prompt any desire to complain in me!

Most of them are a bit daft, but fair enough as regards Crazy Frog ripping off 12-year-olds by not telling them it was a subscription that would cost them piles of money.

And the Five mailshot that implied a crazed killer was after you could be a bit alarming for little old ladies living on their own.

Ryanair using the deaths of 52 innocent people to shift a few more cheap flights is just scummy.

Yeah, the Ryanair one I could see the problem with, it's not an advert I was ever aware of, I guess it ran it's course pretty quickly.

Most of the others seem like harmless, silly fun. I know nothing of the CSI one, did it not state 'CSI' on the leaflet? If not then it's a bit of a waste of advertising money.

It did, but if you didn't know what CSI was and if didn't read the whole thing (and let's face it, who reads the small print on their junk mail?) it would be a bit disturbing.

Complaining because someone on TV talked with their mouth full = very much dud, though.

four years pass...

"I have found a dog on a dog forum I use who has already been affected by this advert. The woman's Dad now believes there's no reason why his daughters Deerhound cannot stay outside as the 'one on the advert looks fine'. She is not able to go and visit her Dad now, as she won't leave her dog outside as he is not used to it, especially not in winter! "
