candice runighan, Monday, 1 May 2006 18:58 (nineteen years ago)

a way of life.

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:05 (nineteen years ago)

Sunny side up are unflipped - over easy are flipped but only lightly cooked?

Ned T.Rifle (nedtrifle), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:30 (nineteen years ago)

Yes, that is correct. I only eat my eggs over easy, just in case anyone reading wants to make me some eggs sometime.

Allyzay Rofflesbot (allyzay), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:30 (nineteen years ago)

over easy = solid whites, runny yolk .. there's also "over hard"

Tracey Hand (tracerhand), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:33 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, me too, over easy everytime - despite the health warnings - you gotta live dangerously sometimes...

Ned T.Rifle (nedtrifle), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:33 (nineteen years ago)

why are eggs better to order than to eat?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:34 (nineteen years ago)

Runny yoke is gross. Scrambled only, please.

Abbadavid Berman (Hurting), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:34 (nineteen years ago)

Well, except when someone makes a really really good Benedict or something like that.

eggs are the perfect hangover food.

jbr with a z (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:35 (nineteen years ago)

(unless your hangover's so bad you'd just throw them up)

Best eggs Benedict in the world: Slickety Jim's in Vancouver.

Three cheers for runny yolk and bread to stick in it -- poached eggs and white toast forever.

nabisco (nabisco), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:38 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, I want ham egg and chips right now and i want my yolks runny so i can dip them fries. And I want a big cup of sweet tea with it. And some toast. Is that too much to ask?

Ned T.Rifle (nedtrifle), Monday, 1 May 2006 19:40 (nineteen years ago)

I don't think over easy eggs are dangerous.

over easy with toast to sop up the runny yolk. or hash browns to mix up with the runny yolk. with picante. hits the spot every time.

There is a risk in eating "soft-boiled," "sunny side up," "over easy," or "soft scrambled eggs." There is also a risk in "from scratch" Caesar salad dressing or other foods made with raw or undercooked eggs.

YOU CALL THIS LIVING?

i think the stat is 1 out of every 30,000 eggs has salmonella ... and almost all salmonella eggs come from battery hens, which i don't support .. given that you'd have to eat eight eggs a week from the day you were born til you're 80 years old to reach the 30,000 mark i feel okay about raw eggs, or runny eggs.
