Men: Do you own any Cosby sweaters?

The last thing I saw before I went home sick today was a coworker who was wearing a Cosby sweater. If you don't know what I'm talking about, they are big puffy multicolored sweaters like Bill Cosby would always wear on the Cosby show. I didn't think people still wore these! Or are they popular and I just never noticed before?

When I woke this morning there were sweaters on my teeth.

Hank, Friday, 25 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The day I wear one of those = never.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 25 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can see you in one, Ned. It would be cozy.

Nicole, Friday, 25 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Aw. Well, that's nice, then.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 25 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You kidding? That's all I wear. People think they're lame, huh? Well, little leather patches = dry clean only and that = expensive and money talks, baby. Filth and flarn yar nyar and more filth and flarn.

I've heard them referred to as Terry sweaters over here. Named after a character on Eastenders who weras hideous jumpers. Do I have any? No.

But are you determined to get your ex-bird back from her new fella?

RickyT, Saturday, 26 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm determined to get my ex bird back from her not being a "relationship person" but still wanting to use me.

That may not work on camera.

Cosby Show references...is there no hope?

I remember the first episodes were great because they essentially brought the routines in Bill Cosby Himself to life, and I loved that movie when I was growing up. Then after that...

THE NEW COSBY SHOW SUCKS

Mike Hanle y, Saturday, 26 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What about those Theo shirts?

Kris, Saturday, 26 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You mean the classic episode where Denise made the shirt for Theo and it came out all wrong and ill-fitting and asymmetrical and funky- looking but then Theo's big date showed up right after he put it on and thought it was the coolest shirt ever and made googly you-so-sexy eyes at him and Theo did his funny yeah-I'm-smooth routine (cf the episode where he found the dead body while fishing and then they interviewed him on the news and he was all like "As the son of a physician, I immediately ascertained that the deceased had expired anywhere from three to five days earlier" but then on the news they cut it down to him just saying "I'm taking it all in stride")?

That shirt?

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 26 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I would have thought a Cosby thong was more appropriate.
