Tracking new cultural trends thru comics strips

How to tell when a relatively new cultural phenomena hits a certain threshold:

(1) when you have multiple comic strips deal with it on the same day

for instance, Blogging:
Zits

Grand Avenue

Blondie, (from two weeks ago)

Altho, points go to Garry Trudeau for being 2-3 years ahead of the curve.

But still. BLOGGING! It's what all the now kids are doin'! Wave of the Future! etc
