i always feel like its a bit of a waste when the weather is great and im stuck indoors, but then, there will be other summery days, no?

titchyschneider (titchyschneider), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:06 (nineteen years ago)

which are you asking, "great" or "hot"?

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:25 (nineteen years ago)

hot == great

sleep (sleep), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:29 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, someone's gonna have to be more specific.

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:30 (nineteen years ago)

hot = great

titchyschneider (titchyschneider), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:31 (nineteen years ago)

Anyone thinking that hot summers are the most wonderful thing ever, I will trade you climates.

milo z (mlp), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:32 (nineteen years ago)

I still have PTSD from the summer where we had fifty straight 100+ degree days.

milo z (mlp), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:33 (nineteen years ago)

Hot without humidity = glorious. (Hot WITH humidity = the space under the devil's rotting ballsac.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:33 (nineteen years ago)

Hot weather makes me angry at God.

sinful caesar sipped his snifter (kenan), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:33 (nineteen years ago)

london weather is almost universally humid, although today it didnt seem too muggy for once

titchyschneider (titchyschneider), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:34 (nineteen years ago)

CLASSIC.

I spend the entire summer (in Chicago) fleeing from one air-conditioned place to another as quickly as possible. I hate the summer.

dissonance in the divine accord (unclejessjess), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:34 (nineteen years ago)

Hot and summery = please kill me now.

Casuistry (Chris P), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:35 (nineteen years ago)

I like hot. Also, dude try 50 straight days of 120+ degree weather, which I lived in for several years. Can get annoying but like the car didn't have A/C and it didn't really bother me after a while.

I am well insulated and my body is prepared to survive a great deal of cold but unfortunately there's no thermostat attached to my metabolism that I can turn down -- I just try not to eat or move between early July and early September.

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:42 (nineteen years ago)

It's gorgeous out and I'm not only stuck inside but from this floor I have an excellent view. Grrrr.

M. White (Miguelito), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:44 (nineteen years ago)

I am generally always very cold so I enjoy hot weather.

Allyzay Rofflesbot (allyzay), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:46 (nineteen years ago)

I'd rather have a view than not though! I am in windowless cubicle land and it suuuucks.

I Hate Summer
by Jesse K.

I get cranky and depressed in the summer time. Give me cool overcast any day. Hell, give me 0 (farhenheit--i know i'm spelling that wrong) and driving snow anyday over 95 or even 80.

I went to the beach a couple of times last summer and realized that I had no business there--the miserable heat and the blinding sun and the grimey feeling made me extremely unhappy.

I turn on both A/C units and draw all the shades.

Als big dud: OUTDOOR DINING.

dissonance in the divine accord (unclejessjess), Thursday, 11 May 2006 18:56 (nineteen years ago)

outdoor dining is so annoying. you get buzzed by insects or it's too windy or you get exhaust fumes or it starts raining or the sun goes behind clouds suddenly leaving you shivering. yet once the temperature hits 50f, someone is always clamoring to sit outside. fuck that.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:06 (nineteen years ago)

outdoor drinking, on the other hand - unfuckwithable classic.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:06 (nineteen years ago)

I like eating outdoors when it's a little cool (70) and dry (the least insectified time), but other than that no way.

milo z (mlp), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:08 (nineteen years ago)

Even outdoor drinking is very suspect. I like the outdoors a lot, but perhaps only in theory or at least only in memory.

dissonance in the divine accord (unclejessjess), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:10 (nineteen years ago)

Hot weather makes me angry at God.

this is very OTM.

ryan (ryan), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:14 (nineteen years ago)

the space under the devil's rotting ballsac

Ned, why you gotta talk 'bout Texas like that?

Actually today's a beautiful one in the lone star state. Only 81! I just went down to the creek next to my office and saw a big brown snake. cool.

Miss Misery xox (MissMiseryTX), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:16 (nineteen years ago)

i'm no humidity fan, but I'll take hot most ways I can get it

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:19 (nineteen years ago)

A/C is classic.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:22 (nineteen years ago)

Oh... you have to be careful where you dine outdoors. Outdoor dining on a Portland patio (so no exhaust) in Spring or Fall or late at night in Summer = happy. It's like being indoors but with a breeze and fresher air!

Casuistry (Chris P), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:23 (nineteen years ago)

Except for one day, it's been nice here all week. Mid-70s, a nice breeze, no humidity to speak of. God is such a prick tease. Next week it's going to be 115, I just know it.

milo z (mlp), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:26 (nineteen years ago)

I get cold even in July, so I'm going to say that I like the hot weather (if it gets too hot, I'll go indoors). Southern Minnesota is cold, damp, and gray this afternoon and I'm freezing... and I hate that. It just makes me want to sleep all day.

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Thursday, 11 May 2006 19:34 (nineteen years ago)

outdoor drinking = dud unless seated

Konal Doddz (blueski), Thursday, 11 May 2006 20:31 (nineteen years ago)

haha i love the feeling of dread that all Texans experience this time of year.
