at Slate, Markos Moulitsas debates GOP consultant Stuart Stevens. Stevens went first and said basically what I think about this stuff (though I haven't read Kos' book yet). What will be the response?

I thought Markos made some salient observations in his book. What he says in this letter about Dean, though, seems a little out of date given Dean's appearance on the 700 club.

Well, basically he was saying that Dean is an off-the-cuff, unscripted type of politician who sometimes puts his foot in his mouth because of his willingness to make non-focus-group-tested statements, and what happened on the 700 Club seems consistent with that.
