Go to the store and break $35 worth of stuff in the course of a protest.

Do they have one of these stores near Berkeley?

Give it to someone you think could use it. Which is not meant as a cheap ploy for the gift certificate on my part, I mean someone you know who really might be in need.

Too late to keep the money outa their hands. Better now to redeem the certificate and reclaim yr. share.

Obviously not spending them at all would be the worst option, as then the company gets to make pure profit. I suppose you could look for a loss leader product if such a thing exists. Or at least the thing that looks like it has the lowest profit margin.

Alternatively, send the gift vouchers back to the person you received them from, with a note saying "Hey scum. You can keep your tainted money."

We got sent an outer of Nescafe a while ago (24 jars). Nestle is of course banned from our SU. We then:

a) Refused to pay for it

b) Set up a stall with the jars explaining why we do not stock Nestle goods.

c) Gave it away from said stall if people were going to buy it anyway (undermines their profits). So that's what you should do.

Nescafe was on special (possible loss leading) offer in Safeway recently - £1.99 for a 200g jar. Meanwhile, my usual Café Direct cost £2.99 for 100g (ie. 3x the price). I ummed and ahhed and went home coffeeless.
