davinci's inquest

i watch this every day at 1 in the afternoon, right after i get out of bed. they're right now just showing the final episodes of the last season, davinci sorta taking down the mayor (or letting him go down) and setting up DAVINCI'S CITY HALL (lasted less than a season, right?). i've now seen the whole series almost. it's amazing how the final two or three episodes are perfect or almost perfect. they totally ditch all the lame jazz soundtrack noir-ish shit. it actually starts to look and feel like vancouver, full of lingering shots of downtown east side slums and glass skyscrapers against greygreen mountains. and i love all the boring subtle political shit, the maneuvering that takes three or four episodes to play out.

i can't believe brian is going to get a job in homicide (according to the brief episode guide i read-- "Brian accompanies Rose on a homicide case"). god, i hate that piece of shit. i fucking shake with rage when he sits in joe finn's office and lies his ass off and sets angela up. FUCK. i am clenching my fists and pissed off just thinking about it. i loved the episodes where angela and mick were pursuing brian, how they looked so ice cold and businesslike as they investigated. man, i hate that guy. when angela goes to see sue in lockup and gives her a hug... man! she was going to give her a room in her new house.

i searched for a da vinci's inquest thread but there was only one snarky mention by some bitch that lamented the fact that they weren't showing the new edition of dr. who.

that sucks. but i think it's hard to watch it in pieces because of the way it's written, storylines strung out over multiple episodes. anything from seasons 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7, though. they're actually showing mildly censored season 2 episodes on american tv right now, saturday and sunday nights.
