Jonathon Pearce is a bit of a dick, and seems to get a boner whenever he commentates on a London team, but he's toned since he first shot to fame as some kind of maniac on the radio (was this Euro 96?). I reckon Andy Gray is alright most of the time (apart from the infamous Messi-Del Horno incident). Whoever commentated on the Real Madrid v Arsenal match is the worst (if I can get the search function to work I'll find out who that was, I'm sure he was named and shamed).

It's a three-way international tournament held in Japan with Japan v a couple of other teams, this year was Bulgaria and Scotland. We won!

Arsenal were fantastic[...] The commentator seemed a bit mad, though: "Do not adjust your set! That really is the score!!!! Real Madrid 0 Arsenal 1 !!!!!!". You'd have thought he was going to say "Chelsea 0 Colchester 17".

Drury is a cock. Utterly. He's the archetypal premeirship era commentator, utterly in love with celebrity players, celebrity teams and the general idea that column inches bear a relationship to talent. Every time ROBERTO CARLOS got the ball in the Arsenal half or passed to RONALDO or RAUL, he raised his voice in a breathless way like he was about to jizz his pants. Tool.

Anyone thinking Peter Drury is the worst commentator in the world hasn't heard Kheredine Idessane, a BBC reporter who got promoted up to commentator for the Kirin Cup. What a tool. He was on about how the Scotland players should be pleased they are getting the chance to play in such a nice stadium because they never will again (because Celtic Park wasn't voted the best sporting arena ever and none of our squad play in the Premiership, oh wait...) and "oh well, a Scotland cap's a good thing to put on your CV" and not noticing that these players put 5 goals past Bulgaria and won a trophy and may well be getting more caps in the future rather than it just being a jolly week away and a chance to cap some shite players who don't really deserve it so that they can boast about it in years to come.
