The Hitchhiker (80s horror t.v. anthology): C or D?

Do we have a thread devoted to this show yet? I picked up the first season on DVD while visiting Toronto. I love Page Fletcher (The Hitchhiker) and his Rod Serling-meets-Zalman King recitatives that open and close the show. His facial expressions as he's delivering his lines are priceless. Most of the episodes seem really, really bad, but are still enjoyable nonetheless.

There was one interesting one I saw about a girl who falls in love with her married photography high school teacher (by the way, are there really entire classes devoted to photography in high school?), and they sleep together. He breaks it off with her, regarding it afterwards as a mistake, but she gets more and more obsessed with him and starts having dreams about him and her. In her dreams, he says that he is devoted to her but must deny this "on the other side" (i.e., while they are awake) in order "to keep our love safe", and not to believe anything he says to her in the conscious world. He gives her tokens in the dream (e.g., his ring), and when they wake up, she's wearing the ring. He sees her wearing the ring in class and is horrified, and demands that she give it back, but she won't because of what he said in the dream. This plays out a few more times, and eventually she "traps" him inside of her dream.

the opening/closing theme is classic. i don't remember much of the show. i wish HBO would break out some of its shameful past (not including arli$$).
