How would Big Brother edit YOU?

Several digressions in the Big Brother threadz have made me wonder how various ILXors would cope with being on Big Brother themselves and in what light they might be shown by editors. Now I know that several of us wouldn't countenance doing such things, but dream a bit.

Imagine you were picked to go, and how you would react in there without books or phones or interweb but with the current set of housemates. Now share with the group.

Police were called to the scene of the massacre. A bloodied Mr Carlin gasped: "They were trying it."

Oh God, not being very outspoken and preferring to keep my opinions to myself I'd be the Bonnie of the group (but with less of the flabby belly)

Boring, bland and slightly stand-offish. I'd have no highlights.

i'd be like a caucasian victor.

but the victor is always caucasian (arf)

They'd just show the bits where I make a funny face or talk about Transformers/ Some crappy theory I've come up with.

I'd hope for wry and aloof, but they'd probably go for smartarsed and dull.

I'd be grumpy and walk out within three days, and they'd all want to stab me anyway due to excessive use of sarcasm and/or people-avoidance tactics. Much as I want Pete to win, that doesn't mean I'd be friends with him more than any of the rest of them. Being good value on telly != want them to be my friend.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 18:34 (nineteen years ago)

I could see myself being friends with Pete.

Oh man, Pete Doherty should totally be on "Big Brother."

behave!

not-goodwin (not-goodwin), Wednesday, 31 May 2006 06:50 (nineteen years ago)

i'd have walked after the first day minute. principally because of mikey and sezer. "lads" like that bring out the worst in me.

actually, woah, horrible thought. what if i ended up feeling so insecure/isolated from the outside world/etc that i tried to cultivate a friendship/relationship with everyone in there, including mikey and sezer? actually, i think that would happen. i'm that crap. so i'd end up looking like a total cunt. and having to talk to mikey and sezer. bugger.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Wednesday, 31 May 2006 21:31 (nineteen years ago)

Almost on topic: My housemate's latest cognitive therapy session invloved her pretending to audition for big brother on digicam; saying why she'd be good in the hosue, what her best qualities were etc. And then watching it back, over and over. I think i'd rather stay crazy than have to do that.

The things you don't have to do when you're not crazy.
