I am sitting at work on the computer and sometimes i have to get up and literally run to do something. So I jump up and starting running to the other room to press a button and THUD collapse onto the floor from having a leg asleep. Ever have one of those?

i have at least twice woken up in the morning and tried to stand on an asleep leg and toppled over like timber. it's a very strange sensation. i just remember lying on the floor wondering wtf had happened.

i don't think i realized what was happening. i was a grizzly bear shot, lumbering, making odd noises. i got up and continued running only to topple over again.

It happened to me once while I was working at a college; I was reading with my feet up on my lunch break and the phone rang. I thought I'd just go answer it, as my break was nearly over and... bam, instant gimpiness. Thankfully I was alone at the time. (So glad I'm not the only one!)

A cousin of mine was sitting on the floor at a party, and one of his legs fell asleep. He put his weight on that leg at a funny angle when he got up, and his ankle broke in several places.

Try sitting through a Royal Philarmonic Orchestra performance as a seven year old.... I was practically paralysed.

Actually I can see how it might be a little difficult to try that. LOL.

i enjoyed going to the opera as a kid, including before i was actually born

i don't understand how you can be unaware that your leg is asleep

I was taking a cramped cab to LAX with a bunch of friends. I actually knew my leg was asleep by the time we got there, but wasn't expecting to topple back into the car as soon as I tried to get out. Luckily, I was the last one out...

i usually don't know my leg is asleep. sometimes i get that throbbing-my-leg-is-asleep feeling, but usually not. but then i also often feel dizzy when i stand up quickly so maybe i should speak w/a medical professional.
