It's been mentioned on a thread revival.

It was discussed (very briefly) here.

I like the guy. His Diane Rehm voice takes a bit of getting used to...

John Conyers and Gore Vidal have talked about this for a while too; the former may have even published a book.

He has something called spasmodic dysphonia.

i know. that's the same condition she has.

there's been plenty of weird reactions to the article, from some lefty folks pointing out that just the exit polls were dodgy in and of themselves, but there was no shortage of other shit that was fucked up, too. that there was some response to this was immediately leaped on by no shortage of rightwing fuckheads.

i like this bit, which does go into the whole thing, including the whole "naacp = crack for votes" bullshit

This editorial from the NY Times today talks about how Blackwell's electoral shenanigans are on again for '06:

seventeen years pass...

I saw this guy talk at a corporate junket in 2007 - he spoke well on environmental custodianship, indigenous rights and taxing the wealthy. I just read his Wikipedia page and a lot of it appears - to my half-smart brain - to document a fairly righteous track record re a lot of progressive causes. Yet he seems to have serious brain worms re vaccines.

Is he a complicated individual who contains multitudes? Or am I missing a crucial part of the picture that confirms him as a massive jerk and threat to democracy?

RFK JR: HOT OR NOT

he's an odd-looking (if not bad-looking) man, imo, but also registers super high on the scale of 70yo nepo babies who have accomplished nothing and are weird as hell

Lol Compelling.

Age gap discourse is back!

I’m gonna leave this here: maybe, just maybe, consider RFK’s role as a 70 year old on a 31 year old female reporter.

Like y’all are self proclaimed feminists but on Twitter just are full on bullies.
