For the first time since 2000, Vince McMahon is now a legit billionaire again thanks to WWE stock closing at $19.84 on Sunday. Well done all involved.

two months pass...
So, what does former ECW AND XPW referee John "Pee Wee" Moore have to say about Vinnie Mac?

My name is John "Pee Wee" Moore I have worked in this buisness for almost 15 years. I trained at the New Japan Wrestling Dojo and worked for ECW for almost ten years. I study wrestling every day of my life and will continue to study this buisness until I die. I truly believe that there are only a handful of men in this world (If that) that know more about pro wrestling than me. I am writing today about the current state of wrestling.

The wrestling buisness is NOT a place to make money. Vince McMahon Makes ALL THE MONEY IN OUR BUISNESS. He owns the whole entire buisness, He has owned ECW seince 1998, He has owned TNA seince it started (What better way to create fake compitition then to put Jeff Jarrett in charge.) When ROH started to get hot a few years back by using pure wrestling, Vince saw this as a problem that he would have to deal with so he had Rob Fienstien nabbed for child porn to kill all the steam that ROH was getting . Vince does not want any wrestlers getting over without direct WWE involvement. Notice how TNA puts ex-WWE wrestlers above the top indy wrestlers even though the indy guys are usally more over., They are doing exactly what vince wants them to do. Vince does NOT want pure wrestling to make a comeback becouse then all you have to do is be a great wrestler to have succsess. Vince wants pure wrestling to die so he can change peoples perception of wrestling to the quasi "Sports Entertainment/Reality Garbage/ Porn that he has created.." If he controlls the compitition then he deciedes who can get over. i.e. When Vince lets a wrestler go he wants them to work on top of TNA, ROH and all other indy feds. It shows that the only way to make any money at all in wrestling is to go through WWE.

Vince uses the Independants to provide him cheap labor. You see young wrestlers coming up through the indys are tought that there is money in the WWE and the point of this buisness is to get into the WWE. When new wrestlers sign with the WWE, they sign a devolopmental deal. Unless thay make Vince ALOT of money they will never get off the devolopmental deal. Vince has a corporate mentality it is all about profit margins and cheap labor, The corporate investers make money while the wrestlers break their bones for pennies. Vince is in bed with alot of corrupt people who work in our goverment. He is turning the WWE into a tool to recruit for the US Millitary.I am sick of seeing these shnide innuendo's like John Cena or the Miz saluting and saying Hoorah. Im tired of watching WWE and hearing subtle right wing political ideoligy in the commentary (JBL). Yo Vince your audience does not benifit off of cheap labor THEY ARE CHEAP LABOR MOTHER FUCKER.

Vince is the only entertainment being provided for the troops overseas (wonder what that contract is worth proly millions, and I wonder if the boys got any extra bonus for putting their lives on the line in a war zone.) Vince has already installed a nazi like wellness program so he can track what all his slaves are putting into their bodies. The goal of the wellness program is to implant microchips into his wrestlers. The verichip company has tried to get the NFL, NBA and MLB to force all players coming into their league to get chipped but the unions said hell no. The WWE has no union, So once vince thinks that he can get away with it (Proly after the next one of his wrestlers dies of a drug overdose.) He will say that the only way to protect his investment will be to implant the wreslters with the verichip.

The goal of vince is to destroy what respect that this buisness has left, and force people to forget names like Stu Hart, The Shiek, Terry Funk, Johnny Valintine, Harley Race and destroy everything that this buisness has stood for for 80 plus years. The great legends of our buisness have been warning me for over ten years that vince is trying to destroy what this buisness is and rebuild the buisness in his image. The point is that in vinces world great wrestling is not how your going to make money. Being 100% totaly subservant to your Furor Mr. Mcmahon is the only way to make it in wrestling. He wants to make it so the wrestler has no power. Pro Wrestling has been built on the fact that as a fan, if you wanted to you could believe that what you were seeing in the ring is accually real. That is what physcoligy is supposed to be, Having the audince suspend their disbelief and think that for that 2 or 3 hours that what is happining in the ring is real. Pro Wrestling has never in its history been so blantantly fake as it is right now. In order for wrestling to gain its popularity back, It must be done on the grass roots or the Independants.

We need to take our buisness back. Vince McMahon does not have a patent on Pro Wrestling. What we need to do is to all allign together. All Independant promoters need to book Smart, Tough, Athletic Wrestlers who are in good shape. These are the only wrestlers worth pushing. In order to make wrestling competitve again all you have to do is make sure that the better wrestler wins every match. That is the only way to build trust with an audeince is to promise that the better wrestler will win every match. If we stick to the pillars of this buisness (Strength, Agility, Technique, Toughness, Endurance and Charisma.) If we can start a trend on the grass roots independant level that we will honestly evaluate all wrestlers abilitys and use that evaluation to determine who wins each match we can start a revolution. THE FANS HAVE TO RESPECT THE OUTCOMES OF THE MATCHES AND BELIEVE THAT IT IS A LEGIT WAY TO DECIEDE THE OUTCOMES. If we can start to see this on independant promotions across the country, Then Vince will have to change his plan to reform wrestling or risk losing total controll of this buisness. The last thing vince wants is a return to a sport based wrestling. It is not that hard we just need to spread the word that competitve wrestling is the future of our buisness and that Vince is not rellevant to the future. DOI is the largest website that I've seen that is not indirecly run by the WWE. So I give mad props to DOI and all the staff for starting a website for true wrestling fans.

Thanks to everyone for supporting wrestling,
John "Pee Wee" Moore

Wait a sec - THE MIZ (aka that Real World dude) is now in the WWE? WTF!

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 24 August 2006 12:22 (nineteen years ago)

I'm interested in the military-entertainment complex angle of the rant (WWE into a tool to recruit for the US Millitary/Vince is the only entertainment being provided for the troops overseas) , anybody know more about this?

S. (Sébastien Chikara), Thursday, 24 August 2006 13:20 (nineteen years ago)

Wait a sec - THE MIZ (aka that Real World dude) is now in the WWE? WTF!

Yeah, he works as a personality figure, hosting segments, bikini contests, general dogwork. He only took to the pro-wres after The Real World, I could have sworn he worked the Stampedge territory (still ruled by the Hart family) for a while, but Wiki says he was in UPW instead. He has a stunning ability to get booed for whatever he does, which would be good if that was what was actually meant to be happening.

I'm intrigued about this "Vince owns TNA" conspiracy.

to be pedantic, those broadcasts happened before the FCC crackdown that would kill the SPR screenings, and the WWE had their PTC-like "Right To Censor" stable for a year or two

also, the stuff they did from 97-99 was arguably worse...

kingfish high command (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

I think it's fair to say there are probably no other billionaires like Vince McMahon.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

uh, does someone want to explain exactly what's going on in that photo sequence...?

The PTC's "National Campaign to Clean Up TV Now!" video came out in mid 2000 didn't it? WWE filed a lawsuit against it in November 2000, the case got settled July 2002. This would put the Stratus-strips-and-barks episode of Raw slap bang in the middle of that, but I'm pretty sure that the major sponsors had already pulled out sometime in early 2001. I've not got any figures though, I might be wrong.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:28 (nineteen years ago)

In the parking area, William Regal paced around, when Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley asked him what he was doing. Regal said he thought that if he talked to Vince, he could get him to postpone the match. Stephanie said there was no reasoning with Vince and that Regal better go get ready for the match! Regal continued to wait in the parking lot.

A long black limo pulled into the parking area and Vince McMahon and Trish Stratus got out! William Regal went up to Vince and asked him to talk over the match like gentlemen. Vince told Regal that the match was still on!

As Vince and Trish discussed strategy for their match against Stephanie and William Regal later, Kurt Angle demanded a rematch against The Rock, saying he did care if the title was on the line! Vince told Kurt that he would take the request under advisement. Vince and Trish went on to fill a custodian's bucket with mud so they could humiliate Regal later!

Stephanie then came into Vince's office and she asked what would happen if her and her father were in the ring at the same time. Vince said she should know what was going to happen.

William Regal then went to Trish's locker room and she just told him to go to hell!

Vince McMahon and Trish Stratus teamed up to take on William Regal and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley in a mixed tag match! Mr. McMahon and Trish brought to the ring their bucket of goop. Before the match, Vince gave Trish a good-luck kiss! The action began with Stephanie and Trish brawling in the ring. But before long, it was Vince and Stephanie in the ring! As Stephanie went to tag Regal, he walked away from her! Vince then asked for a microphone and told Stephanie that he always gets what he wants! He then told Stephanie that he wants the same thing that William, Stephanie and Trish wanted! Vince told the referee to leave and pulled Trish into the ring! Vince told Regal to go ahead and get what he wanted! William then gave Trish a neckbreaker! After that, Vince told Stephanie to get the bucket! Stephanie smiled as she put the horrible-smelling goop on Trish! Mr. McMahon said that there is only one daddy's little girl, and it was Stephanie! Vince told Trish that she was daddy's little toy and playtime was over! Stephanie then went on to dunk Trish's head in the bucket as Vince and William smiled on!

As Michael Cole tried to ask Trish how she was feeling, she just cried and sobbed.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:31 (nineteen years ago)

it was settled that late? I only remember it going on around 2000 or so, when they needed something for Stevie Richards/Val Venis/Ivory/Godfather to do

kingfish high command (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:32 (nineteen years ago)

I can kinda see the cartooniness of it all, but God help a fifteen-year old Beavis out there watching it all.

I doubt that the above photographs came from any of Bob Mould's scripts, though.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:34 (nineteen years ago)

Well, RTC as a stable ran from late 2000 (when Richards started running out on Heat and covering the valets) through to Wrestlemania X7 (April 2001) when they got jobbed to Tazz and the APA in under four minutes.

xp

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:35 (nineteen years ago)

Bob Mould was just writing WCW (I think?).

Marmot (marmotwolof), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:37 (nineteen years ago)

Bob Mould never actually worked for VHM; he split from WCW a bit more than a year before they got out, since they never used any/much of his stuff.

kingfish high command (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:37 (nineteen years ago)

Remind me what were some of Mould's storylines, I used to know.

Marmot (marmotwolof), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:42 (nineteen years ago)

He was behind the Sting/Vampiro "Dark Carnival" malarkey,as well as the Chris Benoit/Jarrett feud. Maybe the Filthy Animals/Revolution feud as well?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:46 (nineteen years ago)

found this on his blog:
one of the characters I felt strongly about at WCW was Vampiro. When I arrived, the WCW version of the character was a sad one, always getting lost in the shuffle and the backstage politics. I spent a good amount of time hanging with Ian Hodgkinson, the man who was Vampiro on TV; I was generally aware of his checkered past, and we talked about many things beyond the business. I sensed a really strong story, one that I thought would have made for compelling TV. In this recent interview, Ian tells the story I wanted to help him portray (and exploit) while at WCW. He had tons of documentation, footage, ephemera - things that, if presented in the proper framework (think less wrestling, more documentary), would have created one of the most controversial characters in the business. Lots of guys have "played the role" on TV, but how many had the real experience, and lived to tell? Why no one would allow us to run with the bigger concept, I'll never know. I think it would have been a "good piece of business".

Marmot (marmotwolof), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:46 (nineteen years ago)

He did do the Sting/lugar "hairspray in the face" double-cross thing, too, when miss elizabeth was still alive.

kingfish high command (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:47 (nineteen years ago)

WWE/WCW.... I don't keep up with what's Marvel or DC either.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:48 (nineteen years ago)

Vampiro was responsible for one of my fave moments of pro-wrestling evar, when he came to the ring and bashed Konan in the head with a chair during Konan's stupid promo

(this was also the angle that involved the Insane Clown Posse into WCW)

kingfish high command (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 24 August 2006 21:57 (nineteen years ago)

Kingfish: you seen Konnan's promo work in TNA recently with his Latino-American Xchange heel stable? He's top five on the mic in the world at the moment, serious.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 24 August 2006 22:06 (nineteen years ago)

Nope, i just know I cheered when he got a chairshot

kingfish high command (kingfish 2.0), Thursday, 24 August 2006 22:16 (nineteen years ago)

You wanna check it out. LAX, Samoe Joe, and Alex Shelley are carrying TNA on their backs at the moment, you've never seen such drop-offs in quality between them and the rest of the roster.
