...odd.

"Feel like you've been duped this morning?" Eyman's sidekick Mike Fagan asked. "Well you have."

Fagan then went on to compare the duping of the media to how voters feel about car taxes....

not quite "Ever feel like you've been cheated," is it?

what's the latest on the rightwingers trying to attack Microsoft's policies towards gay employees?

the latest is.. well, nothing. Microsoft is now more supportive of gay rights than ever before.

We'll see what happens later today (technically). If Eyman doesn't have the signatures, then there won't be a voter initiative this year where people can vote on repealing the same-sex discrimination state law that passed earlier this year. In which case, Reverend Hutcherson -- the guy who claimed he influenced Microsoft to go neutral, even though he can't prove shit -- is going to be a pointless windbag with no influence, at least for a while.

Oh oh, I really want to just read this over and over again, and just smile the entire night. This has been a wonderful Satantastic day:

Former state Republican Party Chairman Chris Vance blasted Eyman.

"Now he's coming in and hijacking issues and shoving his way into an issue because it's become a business for him. It's how he gets paid," Vance said. "There will be no end to Tim Eyman as long as people are wiling to send him money ... I think it's hurting the legitimate perception of the initiative process. When you've got a clown out there in a Darth Vader suit lying to the press and things like that, it's not good for the initiative and referendum process."

Eyman wore a Darth Vader costume to Olympia on Monday, playing a hoax on the news media, who had expected him to file signatures at that time.

Conservative churches had lined up to help Eyman's effort. Liberal churches had joined a coalition of gay-rights backers who planned to run a vigorous campaign to uphold the Legislature's new law.

With the referendum deadline past, the measure takes effect on Wednesday, banning discrimination against gays and lesbians in housing, employment, insurance and credit.

...

You know, only to get Douchebag Vance this angry more often, I welcome Eyman to do more half-ass initiative contracting for Republican bigots.

Naaah, this was fun enough.

That's a wonderfully vehement quote from Vance! I just found out about this Drinking Liberally group yesterday - there's a chapter in the tri-cities we are going to check out next week and see if we can turn the reddish-purple part of the state more blue.
