I sort of agree with Kate. One girl in a room wearing polka dots = beyond hot. A whole room full of them is ranging on dud. Especially if the room in question is an indie disco.

Marianna is exempt from this by virtue of being the first girl I know to wear polka dots regularly.

They look cheap and nasty on me, as does ANY lace. Also bad flashbacks to the microdot Ann Taylor suit inflicted upon me by my mom once. However I do have a red silk cowl thing from the early '60s family vintage collection which is looking for rehousing (Marianna?)

I adored Strawberry Switchblade but did not dress like them (my style was much more Corinne Drewery, very b/w '20s/'30s art photograph; probably couldn't wear black denim jacket with Cocteau's 'boy with a gun' painted on the back today though). Lawrence Felt-Denim used to go out with Rose, but I never even saw her back when I spent a fair amount of time with him (she was supposed to come to go-kart mozart but didn't, sez L). I remember when buying it on import I was pleased it was on the Bunnylabel.
