Best match - Australia v Japan. "They think it's all over now..."

"Still no goals and no wins for Le Bleu"

Les Bleus, surely?

Still no goals since the final of 98, is that right?

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 11:46 (nineteen years ago)

yes. it's less exciting if you say they haven't scored in their last 4 World Cup matches though.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 11:51 (nineteen years ago)

not even in friendlies or qualifying?

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 11:58 (nineteen years ago)

thought it was obvious we are just talking about tournament games.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 12:01 (nineteen years ago)

qualifying is part of the tournament..

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 12:11 (nineteen years ago)

raise your standards!

Konal Doddz (blueski), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 12:11 (nineteen years ago)

actually i forgot euro2000 as well.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 12:13 (nineteen years ago)

(and 2004)

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 14 June 2006 12:16 (nineteen years ago)

I just meant in World Cup Finals (as in the "the finals" rather than more than one final). So, no goals in 2002 and none so far in 2006, means they haven't score a single goal in the World Cup Finals since their last goal against Brazil in the Stade de France.

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Thursday, 15 June 2006 09:50 (nineteen years ago)

are there any rude / funny combinations of the three letter abbreviations that the bbc use in their on-screen graphics?

koogy wonderland (koogs), Thursday, 15 June 2006 11:38 (nineteen years ago)

Nothing as good as when Wales played Russia in the Euro2004 play-off and it said "WalRus" at the top of the screen.

Hello Sunshine (Hello Sunshine), Thursday, 15 June 2006 11:52 (nineteen years ago)

Have we done this already, or was that on another forum?
