me, i went to see a new house a friend of mine had bought then came home and watched a sad but powerful 90s indie film with my flatmates. i wish i had drinking buddies in the area ive moved to, but i dont, so didnt get to hit the pub like i would like to. i miss drinking (with friends). i also miss having sex, which is one incentive (though not the only one) for going to the pub and drinking and meeting other similarly drunken people.

Drank a few beers, watched Holland v Ivory Coast, ruined a sudoku puzzle by trying to be a smart-arse (and failing), drank a few more beers, watched some of Mexico v Angola and talked shite about old telly and World Cup goals and the failings of the education system and men with shiny legs.

I also laughed at some Dutch people with orange wigs and garlands sitting next to us in the pub, specifically the one with the too-small hat who stood outside the pub checking his reflection in a car window in order to perch his too-small hat on his head at an appropriately jaunty angle. He looked silly.

Then I went home and watched the West Wing and chuckled a bit at Peter Kay on Jonathan Ross then I went to bed.

I've had worse Fridays.

Went to have coffee with a friend. Walked to a bar to have a beer with Fish & Chips. Met up with some other friends and sipped iced tea as they ate dinner. Dropped a friend off at his car and met up with the aforementioned group at a bar patio. Went upstairs to a bar specializing in Belgian beer. Talked to a rotating group of friends until we left, then talked to a couple drunk acquaintances at the alley bar. Went home to sleep.
