Help with downloading podcast

I am new to the 'podcasting' world and have tried to download a podcast onto itunes however the 'Advanced' section of my itunes does not have 'subscribe to podcast'. Can I still do this? If so, how?

It could be that you're running an old version of iTunes; it certainly didn't support podcasting until version 4 or 5. Check here to make sure you've got the latest version of the software. You might also need to download new firmware for your iPod if the this is the case.

My suggestion is to ditch itunes and use Juice instead:

http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net

It works without all the crappy Apple messing about and hiding/controlling things business.

four years pass...

guys, every video podcast ive downloaded the video is a good 2 seconds ahead of the audio. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to correct it?
